I hope you're all having a wonderful day as you read this post. :)
Some basic etiquette while participating on Urban Heyoka.
Keep all discussion civil. Do not be petty.
If you are participating as a non-indigenous member, keep all racist comments or opinions to yourself, or you will be banned and blocked from posting.
When indigenous commenters are engaged in discussion that is Native focused, all other posters will either leave them to this discussion and not comment, or will approach the conversation with the utmost respect. This includes in-depth discussions on Native culture and spirituality.
No question is a stupid question, unless it's a really stupid question. :) Do not base questions on stereotypes, or what you've seen on tv.
Please take time to educate yourself. You're online and the knowledge of generations is at your fingertips. Attempt to understand Native culture and interaction before participating.
No inter-tribal bickering.
Comments or forum posts containing hate speech or bigotry of any kind will be deleted. If they are not deleted in a timely manner, please contact me ASAP via email.
Please remember I work, have children, and a life to run - please be patient with my response times.
This site aims to both uplift and challenge our spirits. Bring your thoughts and opinions and humor, but most importantly, bring an open mind and a loving heart.
BE KIND TO EACH OTHER!!!!!!
If you have any issues with fellow members and commenters, please bring it to my attention by emailing urbanheyoka@gmail.com
