About the Authors

Through years of communication and slowly building trust, a friendship between a Native man and a white woman bloomed into education, discussion, understanding, and a desire to help Native people open the channels of discussion regarding issues that face our Native population.  Recidivism, spirituality, health, sexism, government neglect, substance abuse, and so much more need to be openly discussed not just within the Native community, but society wide.  We have the opportunity to educate non-Native people on the issues faced  by indigenous populations, as well as using this platform for the community to speak freely, openly, inter-tribally about the issues you each face.

Daniel and I are eager to welcome each of you to our Circle, to foster open, adult conversation, and to work on projects that will help us get the spotlight onto our main passion - the reservation to prison pipeline.
