Cancellation of Canada Day and Independence Day

The number stands now at over 1500 hidden graves of children at residential schools in the US and Canada. This number will only rise as Deb Haaland, the Secretary of the Interior, has called for all known residential school sites in the United States to be investigated and searched for more missing children. We are all still waiting on an official Canadian response to this issue.

In light of the atrocities against Native and First Nation children, the indigenous community are wearing orange on Canada Day (Thursday, July 1), and Independence Day (Sunday, July 4). All POC and white allies are encouraged to follow suit and stand against this injustice perpetuated by the churches and governments of these two countries. No celebrations will be attended or observed. These are days of mourning.
